This fall, we have partnered with Golden State Foods to support Deerfield Elementary’s Team Kids Challenge. As two Irvine based organizations, we believe this partnership can help children strive to make a difference in their communities.

Deerfield Elementary School recently completed their 5-week long Team Kids Challenge program which consisted of weekly challenges and ended with a student-run carnival that raised $1,227.67 for the students’ charity of choice – St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

Kate Starr, Director of Global Branding and Communications at Golden State Foods, shares, “Kids have the biggest hearts, they have great ideas, and they want to help. They just need a little guidance on how to do it, and that’s really what Team Kids does. It shows them the way, and it’s really shaping the next generation of philanthropists.”

Special thanks to our founding public safety partners, Irvine Police Department and Orange County Fire Authority, for joining us during this 5-week challenge and continuously inspiring youth.Visit goldenstatefoods.com to learn how Golden State Foods improves the quality of life for those in need.
