On behalf of Team Kids and our Public Safety Partners, we applaud the students and families of Meadow Park Elementary School for taking action on these important community issues in the 2011-12 school year.

Week 1: Prevention  $656.00
Goal:  525 pounds of pennies
Outcome:  525 pounds Pennies for PALS program

Week 2: Homelessness  $2,000.00
Goal:  1 van full of clothing
Outcome:  1 vanload toys, books and clothes for SWCC

Week 3: Hunger  $750.00
Goal:  2 barrels of food
Outcome:  2 barrels for Families Forward

Carnival  $1,435.00
100% of the proceeds from the carnival went to Children's Hospital of Orange County (CHOC)

Meadow Park Elementary School students raised cash and donated goods with a value of over $4,841 to charity!

Even more importantly, students learned the power they have to make a difference for other children and people in need.
