Brywood Elementary School

On behalf of Team Kids and our Public Safety Partners, we applaud the students and families of Brywood Elementary School for taking action on these important community issues in the 2011-12 school year.

Week 1: Homelessness  $413
Goal:  400 pairs of jeans for kids
Outcome:  413 pairs of jeans for teens (Do Something)

Week 2: Homelessness  $454.00
Goal:  500 jackets
Outcome:  545 jackets (OCDE MH Clinician)

Week 3: Homelessness  $500
Goal:  1 van full of gently used sports equipment
Outcome:  1 vanload gently used sporting equipment (Illumination Foundation)

Carnival  $1,440.00
100% of the proceeds from the carnival went to Irvine Animal Care Center

Brywood Elementary School students raised cash and donated goods with a value of over $2,898.00 to charity!

Even more importantly, students learned the power they have to make a difference for other children and people in need.
